This illuminated world globe is meant for younger children who have an interest in learning about world geography. Recommend for ages 8+. I actually got this for my husband. He is obsessed with planets and the world in general and he has a fascination with globes.
This light up globe is very lightweight and made of plastic. This is meant for sitting on a table, stand or shelf, not that there is a cord restricting you, just that the product would probably not stand up to rough housing. Would best be used as a learning aid.
I personally am not the best when it comes to geography so I can not comment of the correctness of this world globe, but as a night light or for general world globe use, this is a great product!

A world globe is a pretty standard thing for kids to have. I like the features that this one has. Seems like it will last a while.
