    We saw The Lego Batman Movie and went out to dinner. We usually do not make a huge deal about V-day because we celebrate our anniversary on February 5th which is more special than any national holiday.

    I’m looking forward to Valentine’s Day. I have two siblings with birthdays right after it so we always get together on Valentine’s Day to celebrate their birthdays. This year we’re going out to dinner & a movie so it should be exciting.

    If Valentine’s falls on a weekend, we will usually do a family thing during the day and go out alone at night. If it’s during the week, we do a family dinner of big seafood plates.

    I will be making cards and small gifts to send out to my loved ones (neighbors, too!), and having a casual date-night with my boyfriend. I’ve never made much of a fuss out of the holiday, but I like to think of it as a special opportunity to let others know that they are appreciated.
