The packaging of the Ellia Gather is above and beyond offering style and support at the same time. First the box is solid thick heavy duty cardboard. It opens from the bottom and flaps up revealing the contents inside the cube.

At the very top is a brown envelope that folds open to reveal the user guide, information packet and legal paper.

The cube is separated into two different sections. The bigger section holds the Gather essential oil diffuser, wrapped with a thicker tissue type paper with the Ellia logo printed on it. I like the added protection that offers while also looking stylish as well.

The next sections holds the power adapter, the water container and the 3 piece essential oil sampler. These were also all separated by pieces of heavy duty cardboard and individually sectioned off to keep from rattling around in the box. Great packaging for a great gift!

The Gather Essential Oil Diffuser Setup

The Gather Diffuser has a basket weave design made from ceramic and wood. The essential oil diffuser is made up of 3 components. The main base, inner cover and outer cover. There is an adapter power cord and remote that is also used with the Gather Diffuser.

Setting up the essential oil diffuser is pretty easy. The instructions say to fill your diffuser BEFORE plugging in the adapter to your unit, but I went ahead and plugged in the adapter first since it plugs into the unit from the bottom. I didn’t want to fumble around with it after I had already put the water and essential oil drops inside. So this part is up to you as I don’t see how it really matters, but the instructions do say to wait until after you fill your Gather Diffuser. Anyways…

After plugging the adapter cord into the bottom of the Ellia Gather Diffuser, I then followed the instructions which stated to fill the inner pot (reservoir) to the MAX line. The MAX line is the inner rim. The center reservoir is an opaque white, and the “MAX” print is all capital letters in a red, bold font. You can see the word MAX, although not clearly.

The next line up from the MAX print, it says DRAIN SIDE. I honestly could not read these without a good light. The opaque reservoir is a thicker material, which could be why its a little harder to read. But anyways..

After filling the Gather diffuser with distilled water (My choice as we have horrible iron issues with our water) I then added the recommended 5-7 drops of essential oils. I used 6 drops since it was smack dab in the middle of the two. I used the included TUNE IN / PAY ATTENTION sample that was included with the essential oil diffuser.

The next steps would be to place the inner and outer lids back on the Gather diffuser, and then attached the power adapter cord. I had already attached the power cord to the diffuser prior to adding the water, so all I had left to do was to plug into the wall outlet.

The Gather Diffuser Remote

At this point you have two options. You can power your Gather diffuser by pressing the button, located on the bottom of the diffuser or via the remote.  Pressing the power button once turns on the diffuser, music and lights. Pressing it twice shuts off the music and lights and keeps the diffuser active. A third press will shut the Gather diffuser off.

Again, this could prove to be a little messy if your a clumsy person in anyway. While the Gather diffuser is pretty lightweight, it is a good size and it’s main unit is ceramic, which makes it slightly more fragile. So for me, messing with a button after it’s full and having to keep it in a certain positions etc.. just wasn’t ideal. So I of course chose to power up using the remote.

The remote for the essential oil diffuser arrived with batteries already in place with a protective plastic tag that you simply pull away. There are six images on the Ellia Gather Remote.

The first is a symbol that looks like steam. This is the mist button. Press once for continuous mist (up to 10hrs) Press twice for intermittent mist. This will create 30 second intervals of mist for up to 20 hours, essentially prolonging the timer for you. The third time you press the mist button it will turn the Gather diffuser off. The essential oil diffuser will also automatically shut off if it runs out of water.

The next Symbol is a music note to play sounds. One press on the music note, turns the sounds on, a second quick press will switch to the next track and a long press will turn the music off.

The middle two buttons are for the lights. The first one turns on the lights with one press, holds a color with a second press and shuts the lights off with a third press. The lights symbol with the arrow line above it adjust the light brightness. One press is bright, two is medium and the third press is for low light.

The last two buttons are the + and – signs. These two control the music volume.

Essential Oil Sampler Kit

The fact that they offer a sample kit with the Ellia Gather  Diffuser is pretty cool as it allows you (or your “giftee”) to use your essential oil diffuser immediately. But I have to tell you, they even went above and beyond with style and support when including the sampler kit. I’m not even kidding.

The three samples are in a whole other cardboard material packaging of their own. They are in a sort of like pocket box, while also being in their own individual slot. Each of these bottles are 2ml. So tiny and cute.

Ellia Essential Oil Diffuser Samples

These little amber glass bottles the samples come in are so teeny tiny and adorable. I just love the sample bottles. They were each imprinted with what was inside them. One was a straight ORANGE essential oil, the other two were blends of multiple essential oils, one named FIGHT IT and the other TUNE IN / PAY ATTENTION.

Each of the Ellia essential oil blends are created for a certain purpose, cause or ailment. The essential oils included in this sampler each had their own purpose or properties.

Ingredients: 100% pure, therapeutic grade orange essential oil.
