I have, and I’ve always loved it! However, I haven’t been able to go in a few years. (I don’t even have a tent right now!) But getting away for a couple good, long weekends of camping is one of my big goals for this summer.

My husband and I camped for part of our honeymoon in a tent. Since then we’ve gone in my in-laws RV and rented cabins at the state parks – renting the cabins is still rustic enough to be very enjoyable.

The last time I went camping when I was a kid. My husband likes to go camping from time to time.

We’ve camped quite a bit over the years, starting when my siblings and I were young. Our Dad would take us rockhounding. We’d set up tents at nearby campgrounds, and cook over a blazing campfire. I still remember it pouring down rain once, and my Dad told my brothers not to touch the tent roof it would leak. They poked & it leaked LOL. My sister & her family upgraded to a pop up camper but I don’t think it’s near as much fun as the tents were.

I never go camping without duct tape and gallon ziplock bags; they’re useful for so many things.

CAMPING Hacks & Favorite Spots….so want to go to Treman State park near Ithaca NY this year, they have 11 waterfalls and Watkins Glen KOA is super cheap for camping fee, like $5 I think. I camp with my cub scout families and friends all the time. Camp hacks—use pool noodles over your tension lines to prevent clothes-lining in the dark, one of our scout did that while playing tag at dusk, scary but he is good now.

  5. I have golfed in the past, not very well.
