People are bold in different ways. You can be bold by taking chances, not being afraid to try new things, openly expressing your thoughts, and taking a stand for what you believe in. I like to think that I am bold for not caring about what other people think of me. I am not perfect and I do not try to be.

To me, being bold can mean any number of things– I could write so much about this; I believe that many of us here could, as well! 🙂
In my opinion, boldness has an element of bravery to it. Courage, strength, and being strong even when you feel weak in the knees.

I first went snowboarding on my 12th birthday. This was in the early/mid-’90s, and there were NO other girls out snowboarding on the mountain where I was. An adult male relative took me out snowboarding on that first day. It was pretty easy to ignore everyone and everything else, since I was focused on what I was doing. But after that, it was impossible to ignore the fact that I really ~was~ being watched and observed. I really WAS bold, though. I bought my own gear within a couple of months (I had savings tucked away), and made a few male friends. Within a couple of years, I had a job at the ski resort. I entered competitions, and won! …It may not sound like much of a big deal, but when you’re a preteen or young teenaged girl, it can be really tough when you’re already feeling self-conscious and/or insecure about so many things. But ultimately, it was so good for me. I had to take risks, in so many ways, and I had to block out the noise of insecurity and fear. I just did my own thing, and it ended up being awesome. Being bold can be really, really hard sometimes, but it can also be really rewarding.

  11. I wish I were bold enough to speak in front of an audience.

To empower and push through challenges. Facing fears, letting go. I think that being bold means to do something special and out of the ordinary despite barriers

  14. Bold is doing what’s right regardless of the consequences. My boldest acts of which I’m proudest are winning a Western regional convention for El Paso, Texas (it had never been west of Arizona and our town had never handled anything of that size), and entering the Heartland Poker Tour in Colorado and making it to Day Two with the 26th largest chip stack (out of 800 players who’d qualified).
