Kennywood Amusement Park
America’s Favorite Traditional Amusement Park since 1898
Kennywood Amusement Park, is fast becoming one of our families favorite vacation destinations for day trips. At less than 2 hours drive for us, it allows us the opportunity to “travel” from our little community and explore the thrills and attractions Kennywood offers.
The Pittsburgh-area park offers a unique mix of classic rides and modern thrills, including six roller coasters, a 14-ride Kiddie-land, and several attractions that cannot be found anywhere else. Founded as a trolley park in 1898 and named a National Historic Landmark in 1987, Kennywood continues to provide unforgettable fun for all ages.
Enjoy everything from tasty funnel cakes and Deep Fried Oreos to Kennywood’s world-famous Potato Patch fries!
Now that my youngest is almost 16 (few days from now) visiting Amusement Parks has become a fun way for us to release some built up tension and cabin fever from a cold winter. When I think of Amusement Parks, I instantly think of summer and roller coasters. My kids can not wait for our trip to Kennywood next week!
